In the story of Cain and Abel, God’s first address to Cain is a somewhat cryptic verse (Genesis 4:6-7):
“Ha-lo im tetiv se-ayt / Ve-im lo taytiv / lapetach chata rovetz / ve-aylecha teshukato / ve-hu yimshal bo”
The translation I am familiar with is something like that of the New JPS:

Despite the miserable weather, a nice turnout of 35 devotees turned out for an exhilarating evening of prayer, Torah, and camaraderie the likes of which only the DJC can provide. Foremost Catering came through as usual, and appropriate headgear abounded.

Everyone knows that Haman and his ten sons were hung from a tree - right? Esther 9:13 from the 1917 edition of the JPS translation reads: “… let Haman’s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.” However Elan pointed out to me today that the new JPS translation has this as: “impaled on sticks”.
